A New PMR Lifting Jib at the Port of Marines in Cogolin

The Port des Marines de Cogolin is proud to announce a major step forward in its commitment to accessibility and inclusion. A new lifting device for people with reduced mobility (PRM) has recently been installed to ensure that the boating experience remains accessible to all.

A Safe and Practical Lifting Device

This new equipment is strategically located on the welcome pontoon, right next to the harbor master’s office.

  • Capacity: Designed for reliable use, the hoist can support loads of up to 200 kg.
  • Function: Its main purpose is to facilitate the embarkation and disembarkation of boaters with disabilities, providing a smooth and safe transition between the dock and the boat.

Local Assistance and Support

To ensure optimal and trouble-free use of this davit, users are invited to contact the Harbor Master’s Office.

Our mariners are at your disposal and are ready to provide the necessary assistance for using the equipment and to accompany you during your embarkation and disembarkation maneuvers.

A Port Committed to Global Accessibility

The installation of this ramp complements a series of measures already in place to improve accessibility for all:

  • Access to the harbor master’s office: An access ramp is available to facilitate entry and administrative procedures.
  • Parking: Parking spaces reserved for people with disabilities are clearly marked and located as close as possible to the reception area.
  • Restrooms: Accessible restrooms are available to ensure the comfort of all boaters.

Our goal is clear: to ensure that access to the port and the pleasures of the sea are a right for all sailors.
